Doris (aka Audra) offers canning and food preservation classes for small groups (up to 12 people) in the Philadelphia area by request. Classes can either be held in her home in West Philadelphia or your preferred location (assuming you have cooking facilities).

Learn how to can tomatoes and salsa. We’ll cover the basics of both water-bath canning and pressure canning, the pros and cons of each, and debate the safety of canning tomato sauce. Learn the difference between a hot pack and a cold pack and why it matters. Participants leave with tomatoes, instructional handouts, and the confidence to go forth and can.
